Presenting poetry and dance as a unified art form

Artists Embassy International, the sponsoring organization for Natica Angilly's Poetic Dance Theater Company, has various annual events. Please mark your calendar to be sure you can participate. In addition to our annual events, many other events occur during the year to offer our members many exciting artistic activities and venues.

January: Alameda, CA: Alameda Historic and Art Museum Exhibition with a Meet-the-Artists reception and poetry reading with poetic dance. Between 8 and 15 AEI artists display their works during the month of January.
February: Pinole, CARakkasah's Winter Moon. Please visit www.Rakkasah.com. AEI has a sales booth. Natica performs poetic dance.
March: Richmond, CA: Rakkasah West, AEI's biggest fundraiser event. We have a large sales booth of AEI products and are also an official sales site for Rakkasah. Natica does poetic dance. Rakkasah is a Middle Eastern Dance Festival and Bazaar.
April: Somerset, New Jersey: Spring Fusion Dance Festival and Bazaar. A Rakkasah event.
May: Santa Rosa, CA: May 15 is the deadline for the Dancing Poetry Contest which provides the program for the Dancing Poetry Festival in September.
August: Santa Rosa, CA: Multi-Cultural Poetry Reading and Pot Luck Lunch co-sponsored with Santa Rosa's Poets of the Vineyard and the Redwood Empire Chinese Association. Please visit www.recacenter.org. Check the August Newsletters for past Multi-Cultural Poetry Reading stories and photos.
September: San Francisco's California Palace of the Legion of Honor: Dancing Poetry Festival with prize winning poets from around the world invited to read their prize winning work and at least 10 additional dance acts combining poetry and dance as a unified dance form.  3 Grand Prize Winners from the Dancing Poetry Contest will also be choreographed and danced.
October: Somerset, New Jersey: Rakkasah East. AEI again has a sales booth. Natica's Poetic Dance Theater Company dances.
December: AEI annual board meeting. All interested members are welcome to attend. Please contact Natica at naticaaei@aol.com for info. The exact details are usually set in November for the December meeting.
